Croonin' for Crohn's Performers

The following performers are scheduled to appear at Croonin' for Crohn's.

Forever Gold

Forever Gold is an oldies band based in Bedford, Indiana. Known for their enthusiastic rock-and-roll, smooth harmonies, and energetic entertainment, Forever Gold became a local favorite after its members were part of the multiple sell-out performances of Good Vibrations in 2006. At Croonin' for Crohn's, Forever Gold will be performing some of the Good Vibrations favorites, as well as new, never before seen material.

Dame's Rocket

Blend together a mixture of solid rock riffs, music that makes memories, a passion for performance, and a good old fashion rock and roll work ethic, and you come up with the band Dame's Rocket. Dame's Rocket is a band that appreciates the song and the relationship it shares with its audience. The band carefully selects the music it covers, choosing songs that create an indelible bond between band and fans. Dame's Rocket spans the generations bringing you classics from artists such as Janice Joplin, Heart, Led Zeppelin, Joan Jett, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pat Benatar, 38 Special, Fleetwood Mac, Sheryl Crow, The Eagles and more. And don't think you'll get some flimsy rendition of iconic hits. The members of Dame's Rocket pay special attention to the nuances of the song in instrument and vocals. You'll find yourself pumping your fists to the immortal rhythms and the persuasive melodies made famous by ageless artists.

Nostalgia Band

Bedford's own Nostalgia Band is made up of local musicians from many diverse backgrounds—including music educators, businessmen, attorneys, and medical professionals—with a common love for Big Band music. Their unique, harmonious sounds of saxophones, trombones, trumpets, rhythm instruments and vocals bring to life old favorites made famous by the likes of Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and more. As you listen to the Nostalgia Band, you'll reminisce about "the good ol' days," savoring these classics from yesteryear along with recent hits from artists including the Brian Setzer Orchestra.

Fort Worth

Fort Worth was an idea a few of its band members devised in 2009. They enjoyed western swing and found out they had developed a little bit of a following. The group consists of several local players from south central Indiana who enjoy Bob Wills and Asleep at the Wheel, to name a couple. They hope you enjoy a bit of history in western swing music.

JoAnna Kai Cobb

JoAnna Kai Cobb is a 6th Grade Math Teacher at Bedford Middle School in Bedford, Indiana; is the founder of JoKai CobbWebs; and annually organizes Croonin' for Crohn's with her husband, Ed. Musically, JoAnna entertains audiences across the Midwest, most regularly at the Little Nashville Opry, the Corydon Jamboree, and the Ross Country Jamboree. She also performs the National Anthem at several regional events, including Indianapolis Indians and Pacers games. JoAnna is a member of the band Forever Gold, whose members performed in the highly acclaimed Good Vibrations in 2006. A sufferer of Crohn's disease since April 2003, JoAnna ran her first full marathon in 2009 and enjoys spending time with Ed and her stepsons, Sam and Mac.

Lisa Higgins

Lisa Higgins has been in the entertainment field for 25 years! She attended Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where she earned a Music Education Degree with a minor in theatre and communications. She has been in various singing groups, bands, stage productions and theatre troupes in her journeys. Her endeavors also included a side career in radio, doing voice-overs and commercial jingles. Lisa eventually set out to realize her dreams when she made a big move to Nashville, Tennessee with intentions of pursuing a career in the music industry. The Nashville Palace, The Blubird Café, Opryland, The Opryland Hotel, and even The Grand Ole Opry are just a few of the places where she could be found singing. She also sang her share of demos and backups in an effort to be recognized. As with many Nashville singers/wait staff, recognition came slowly. Her career took a small detour when she married and had three amazing boys. This career change remains the best decision she has ever made. Currently, Lisa resides with her family in Bedford, Indiana, where she proudly works at Oolitic Middle School (Go Bearcats!), in the Resource Department. She is also a member of the bands Long Branch and Forever Gold. Recently, she has been seen in the productions of Good Vibrations and Patsy Cline and Friends, where she had the honor of portraying the amazing Brenda Lee.
